The honest caveats
This is AI reading a photograph, not magic. Treat the review screen as a real step, not a formality.
- Nothing saves until you commit. Every extracted row lands on an editable review screen first.
- Veg / non-veg detection is best-effort. It appears as an ordinary dropdown on the review row — check it, especially for ambiguous dish names, before you rely on it.
- Handwriting, glare and cluttered layouts can trip it up. A clear photo of a printed or neatly handwritten menu works best; a blurry or heavily stylised one may need a retake.
- The upload limits are real, not marketing. Five photos a batch, JPEG/PNG/WEBP, 10MB each, and rate-limited per outlet. Hit the limit and CSV import is the fallback.

How many photos, and what format?

Does it get veg / non-veg right every time?
No. The veg / non-veg tag is a best-effort guess, not a guarantee. It appears as an ordinary dropdown on the review row so you can correct it — check it for ambiguous dish names before you rely on it.
What if it misreads an item or a price?
Fix it. The review screen is a real editable table — every name, price, category and type can be changed, and nothing reaches your live menu until you commit.
