How it works

Why it matters
A menu already typed once should never be typed again. CSV import is also the fallback when a photo scan struggles — a stylised menu, bad light, or a batch over the limit.
The honest caveats
- Unrecognised columns are ignored, not guessed at. Anything Biller cannot map is left out rather than dropped into the wrong field.
- Review is not optional. The same review screen stands between the file and your live menu.
- It brings items, not images. Photos are generated or uploaded afterwards.

What columns does my CSV need?
At least a recognisable item-name and price column. Headers are matched flexibly — Item Name, Name or Menu Item; Price, Rate or MRP.
Can I import an export from my old POS?
Usually, yes — that is the common case. Anything Biller cannot map is left out rather than guessed at, and you see every row before it saves.
Will a comma in a dish name break it?
No. The parser handles quoted fields properly, so "Salad, House" imports as one item.
Does it overwrite my existing menu?
Only if you tell it to. On the review screen, a row whose name matches an existing item is shown as a match so you can choose.
CSV or the photo scan — which should I use?
Whichever fits what you have. A spreadsheet is a CSV import; a printed menu on the wall is a photo scan. CSV is also the fallback when a scan struggles.
