ILLERSome things take a moment -- signing in, opening a bill, scanning a menu photo. Whenever Biller is waiting on something, it tells you in the same two ways everywhere in the app, so you never have to guess whether your tap registered.
While a screen is loading, a soft amber light rises from the bottom of it, with fine golden specks drifting up through it. It appears on the sign-in screen while your account is opening, and on any board -- Bills, Menu, Inventory, Insights -- while its data is on its way.
The light means Biller is working on it. It has no progress bar because most of these waits are short and a bar that jumps to 90% and sits there tells you nothing useful. The copy in the middle of the screen names what is actually loading: Loading data for Bill Details, Creating your outlet, and so on.
When you tap a button that needs a moment, its label changes to describe the work, and a band of light runs along its lower edge:
| You tapped | While it works it says |
|---|---|
| Send Code | Sending code… |
| Verify | Verifying… |
| Join outlet | Joining… |
| Scan with AI | Scanning… |
| Add Ingredients | Adding… |
| Continue | Saving… |
A button in this state is already working -- it is not waiting for another tap, and tapping it again does nothing. That is deliberate: it stops a second bill, a second invite or a second charge being created by an impatient double-tap.
You can tell the three button states apart at a glance:
Turning on notifications shows Waiting for permission… rather than Registering…, because at that moment Biller is not doing anything -- your phone is asking you to allow or block notifications, and nothing continues until you answer that dialog. If you dismissed it by accident, tap Turn on notifications again.
Prefer less movement on screen? Biller follows your device's Reduce Motion setting. Turn it on in your phone or computer's accessibility settings and the light stops animating -- it stays as a still glow, and everything still tells you the same thing.
