Card machines

Add every card machine you use, whatever the brand. Connected machines (Pine Labs, Paytm, PhonePe) get the bill amount sent from Finish, so staff never type it on the machine. Machines recorded by hand (Razorpay POS, Mswipe, BharatPe, bank machines from HDFC, ICICI, SBI or Axis, and Other) have no link to Biller: staff tap Card on the bill and pick the machine, so Money shows each machine's total. Only the owner sets machines up.

Where to find it

Go to Money, open Payments and tap Card machines.

What the list shows

Each machine shows its name, the brand, connected or recorded by hand, and the bank account its money settles to. The pill on the right says:

  • Online -- the ₹1 test sale reached the machine.
  • Not reached -- the machine did not accept the test sale. Check the merchant ID, store ID, client ID and security token.
  • Not tested -- you have not sent a test sale from this screen yet.
  • By hand -- a machine recorded by hand; there is no test sale.

Adding a machine

Pick the Machine brand. The list says which brands are Connected and which are By hand.

Connected brands ask for their own details. Tap Save and send ₹1 test: Biller saves the machine and sends a ₹1 sale to it, then you tap a card on the machine to finish it.

  • Pine Labs: Pine Labs merchant ID, Store ID, Client ID (on the machine's About screen) and Security token.
  • Paytm: Paytm merchant ID (MID), Terminal serial number, Channel ID and Merchant key (exactly 16 characters, from Paytm for Business).
  • PhonePe: PhonePe merchant ID, Store ID, PhonePe terminal ID, Salt index and Salt key.

By-hand brands need only Name on the till and Money settles to, the bank account the machine pays into. Tap Save.

Changing or removing a machine

Tap a machine in the list to edit it. The brand cannot be changed once saved: remove the machine and add it again. The security token is write-only: it is never shown again after you save it. Leave the field empty to keep the saved one, or type a new one to replace it. Remove this machine asks you to confirm and is refused while a payment is still waiting on that machine.
