Signing in with your email

Alongside Google and phone, you can sign in with your email address -- a one-time code sent straight to your inbox, no password to remember.

How it works

1. On the sign-in screen, tap Email.
2. Enter your email address and tap Send Code.
3. Check your inbox for a 6-digit code (it arrives within a minute and expires after 10 minutes).
4. Enter the code and tap Verify.

If you're new here, this also creates your account -- there's no separate signup step. Already have an account you created with a phone number? Email sign-in can't find that account by email alone, so we'll tell you if it's about to create a new one -- use Phone sign-in instead to get back to your existing data.

Already signed up with Google using this address? Email sign-in won't open that account -- you'll see a message pointing you back to the Google button instead, so your Google account (and its own security) stays the only way in.

Didn't get the code?

Tap Resend Code once the 60-second countdown finishes (up to two resends). If you entered the wrong email, tap Back to correct it without starting over.

If something goes wrong

• "That code is incorrect or has expired." Double check the digits, or request a new code -- codes expire after 10 minutes and only work once.
• "Too many attempts." Wait a few minutes before trying again.
• "This email already signs in with Google." Use the Google button on the sign-in screen instead -- email sign-in can't be used for an address that already has a Google account.
