The honest caveats
This is AI reading a photo, not magic — treat the review screen as a real step, not a formality.
- Nothing saves until you commit. Every extracted row — name, price, category, veg/non-veg — lands on an editable review screen first. You can fix a misread price, rename an item, or remove a row outright before anything touches your live menu.
- Veg/non-veg detection is best-effort, not guaranteed. It's shown as an ordinary dropdown (Veg / Non-veg / blank) on the review row — check it, especially for ambiguous dish names, before you rely on it.
- Messy handwriting, glare, or a cluttered layout can trip up the extraction. A clear, well-lit photo of a printed or neatly handwritten menu works best; blurry or heavily stylized menus may need a retake or manual correction on the review screen.
- Upload limits are real, not marketing. Up to 5 photos per batch, JPEG/PNG/WEBP only, 7MB each. Scans are also rate-limited per outlet — if you hit the limit, wait a bit or fall back to CSV upload.
